Ever since I wrote the article on modern Victorian design which included a photo of a whimsical, metal canopy bed (this article has several similar affordable canopy beds), I’ve been a little obsessed canopy beds. There’s a custom-made canopy bed for sale on Etsy that I’ve had my eyes on for years. It’s a little pricey for my budget, but worth every penny, I’m sure. It’s crafted from reclaimed wood with a headboard accented with tin ceiling tile from a historic Victorian.
However, when we bought our house a few years back and I was looking for a new bed, I went with a more affordable French tufted bedframe with nail-head trim, which I also love, but it’s not a canopy bed.
