Today I’m sharing a collection of pretty & elegant paper plates. It’s (still) BBQ season! With Labor Day only a week away, I’m trying to put something together last-minute. I love BBQs & I also love pretty. Who says pretty and BBQs can’t go together? No matter what I do or what kind of party, dinner, or lemonade stand I throw, it has to look pretty. I always say “aesthetics over functionality,” and I mean it! It may drive Huz a little nuts, but I think he secretly loves everything I do 😉
I always have a theme or color scheme or some kind of cohesiveness with pretty displays and arrangements. Don’t ask me why, I just do–it’s just who I am. I like to make everything beautiful. And while BBQs really just require paper plates, mine always have to be pretty & elegant. They have to match my drink dispensers, cups, and silverware–but they can’t be too matchy-matchy, no, decorating really is an art.
For last year’s Thanksgiving table, I bought mint green with gold trim paper plates from Martha Stewart’s collection at Michael’s that went beautifully with the rest of my table. (Since I have little kids, I currently use paper plates for nearly every occasion! But they’re always pretty 🙂 )
Here are some of my favorite pretty & elegant paper plates for your next backyard-chic shindig:
What do you think, is a paper plate really just a paper plate?
