Welcome to Part 6 of 6 of my series: Where I Find My Coolest Décor.
Although I love my antiques and vintage items, I still do quite a bit of my home décor shopping at department and especially, discount department stores.
Typically, most of my furniture comes second hand because I love antiques and the craftsmanship of past generations, and I buy most of it at the places I’ve already mentioned in this series.
However, a lot of my wall décor comes from stores like HomeGoods, Ross, World Market, Target, Marshalls, Kohl’s (not as often as it’s quite a bit more expensive than the other stores), Hobby Lobby, Burlington, Big Lots, and even online marketplaces such as Amazon and Etsy.
These shutters hanging in my piano room came from Amazon and I attached these cool blue metal flowers that I found in the clearance section at Hobby Lobby. Super-easy one-of-a-kind wall décor.
I’ve already gone into pretty thorough detail about discount department stores in my post ‘5 Places To Check Regularly For Home Décor.’ So, if you want to know all about discount department stores (ex. what they are, how they get their merchandise, how they sell stuff so cheap, etc.), read that post.
Thanks for following along! I hope you gained some valuable advice on where to get home decor. Let me know if you’ve utilized any of these ideas.
